More MHST real time data.

Don't look at your stock portfolio as all of those losses from the last two days we are told are making America great again and are heading us into a roaring economy. These are merely Fake News items designed to cripple old what's his name. If you believe that, I have some swamp land that is just itching to be turned into a golf course. If your 401K just took a hit and you voted for old what's his name, still think he was best for the economy?

When I am developing a project such as the MHST it is important to have good data. Firstly, I have a 2 channel 200MHz DSO made by Siglent. I prefer it to the Rigol which I previously had, and one factor is the larger screen. Also important are the behind the panel features and of course the 2X wider bandwidth. The Rigol was OK, but today's preference for me is the Siglent. If you are about to purchase a DSO look carefully at the specs of the Siglent versus the Rigol and then decide.

Probes on any scope always take a beating and in due course need a replacement. One time I was measuring the power output from an IRF510 across an underrated 50 Ohm load, and I smelled something. It was not the resistor burning but the plastic cover over the probe tip was about to burst into flame.

I had suspected that my probes needed a replacement and a new set of 200MHz probes arrived yesterday. It goes without saying much better and more accurate scope readings.

In review, I had the MHST working in Receive but could not get a transmitted signal. That is not the case with a RPI3 now but remains a condition with the RPi4 and 5. So, with a set of new probes, I wanted to look at the I and Q channels coming out of the sound card just before heading off into the ADE-1s.

The short video does show the two data streams and with RPi3 proves that two streams are being generated by QUISK and the VWS package -- BTW you get an Output with the Spot button and the SSB waveform with PTT.

That is not the case with the RPi5 as it works in Receive but no output like the video. Settings for the RPi3 and RPi5 are identical. But something must be different.

Them that know can make it go.
