May 14, 2024. An Example of a Homebrew Radio ~ From Russia

From the May 13, 2024 Hackaday.

The above homebrew radio with 3D printed case is indeed a very capable radio. All bands, SSB and CW, Clarifier, AGC, Keyer and the S meter is really neat.

Hats off to the designer/builder. Nice to see this project.

In passing, mention is made in the write up (and a link) of a minimalist less capable 7 transistor radio. Well to my surprise it is this radio.

PSSST from N6QW

Indeed, less capable in that it is a single band radio, SSB only, no 3D Printed case, no AGC, no keyer and less power. But it does make contacts and uses only 7 transistors -- did I also mention it is ugly sitting on a wooden board. But if you want an "uptown" version then visit:

https://www.mostlydiyrf.com and purchase K7TFC's kit.

Always slightly ahead, as the PSSST was built 2 years ago.
