Happy 4th of July!

Rear View: A Naked Project X!

About a year ago on December 7th, I happened to mention to a 20 something hottie cashier at the local Albertson's that it was Pearl Harbor Day. She asked --- what is that? If we asked that same age group what is the 4th of July, you might get an answer: "The day Tik Tok went live".

To put you in a festive mood and test your Americanithcity (ethnic American) here are a few sample questions from the US Citizenship test.

1. Ben Franklin had a day job and the 1st to hold this position and what was it? [No don't ask who was Ben Franklin? He was quite the ladies' man and was known to romance older women and his reasoning was: They don't swell, they don't yell, they don't tell and best of all they are as grateful as Hell!]
2. In what year was the US Constitution ratified?
3. The 1st 1o Amendments to the US Constitution are known as ...
4. What pivotal role did Thomas Jefferson play in the formulation of the US Constitution.
5. Who was President when the US entered the Great War? [It was not called World War I because we did not know about WWII at that time.]
6. What was his stated reason for doing so?
7. How many stripes are on the US Flag?
8. Which one of these is not a part of the original 13 Colonies. Massachusetts, New York, Vermont, Georgia.
9. Who is responsible for making the laws of the land?
10. What is Habeas Corpus?

Answers:

1. Postmaster General
2. Adopted in 1788
3. Bill of Rights
4. That item #3 be included in the Constitution
5. Woodrow Wilson (1912-1920)
6. To preserve Democracy
7. Thirteen
8. Vermont
9. Congress
10. Meaning show the body as in Due Process to prevent unlawful and indefinite imprisonment.

Regrettably, in 2025 we have individuals who want to change these answers, especially for items 9 and 10.

Our photo today of Project X is my unit with the cover off. The photo in the prior posting was of a National NCX-1000 and meets some of the criteria: Dirty, Off Brand and not many produced. My prior National rigs SW-54, NCX-3 were not very good! The NCX-200 and NCX-5 were better.

Them that know can make thigs go.
