Mid-course in the wiring process on the mostly Vacuum Tube Transceiver.

Always the dilemma... moving too fast trying to get a rig inhaling and exhaling RF yet not blow it by the haste makes waste axiom!

Yesterday was a mix of metal work and connecting things. The box like structure is in the final stages of being complete. I finished up the power cord that connects the power supply to the rig and started installations on the 12GE5. A full day and once again the garage was like a toaster oven. The humidity was right up there too.

[Oh joy, it rained last night so no sprinklers on this morning!]

Different Views of the Box Like Structure.

Next was the wiring of the power connector that connects with the power supply. This is where you double check the pins and the assignment of various voltages. For added safety all pin connections to one of the socket plugs used heat shrink tubing on all of the connections.

Heatshrink tubing on the connections.

What have we become with firing/cancelling people because of what they say? I heard Jimmy Kimmel got axed because of pressure from the FCC. If the FCC pressure is true and extending that, could this give cause to have our ham licenses cancelled for anything we might say that is negative.
