I was trying to balance my checkbook over the weekend and was off by about $100 or something shy of 14 gallons of gas here in Southern California.
I made no subtraction mistakes in the check register and upon close examination found a direct deposit from the US Government (Social Security) in the exact amount of the discrepancy.
I surmise it was a gift from "Donald" trying to buy my vote for the mid-terms. He should be embarrassed in the smallness of the gesture. But I guess that is what happens when you are a billionaire and like Marie Antoinette said let the peons eat cake.
That paltry amount will fill up my gas tank once and if you want to do something meaningful dump the tariff BS.
I hope every American understands it will take a generation to right the economic chaos caused by the events of the last two years. Vote your wallet in the upcoming mid-terms.
