A Very Productive Day.

[News Flash Jameco Electronics is now distributing Hammond Products including selected Peter Dahl Plate Transformers for those Big Tube amps and power transformers for guitar amps.]

I started at 8AM and stopped at 1:30PM when it was just too hot to remain in the garage, but again great progress.

A Whole Lot of Holes!

The mounting plate has so many holes and is so "holey", it may qualify as a very Catholic mounting plate.

The hole placement was based on our initial allocation of space on the top and bottom sides of the mounting plate. The board layout fairly well followed our original placement plan. Behind this was attention to the actual mounting holes so they do not end up in the middle of a board on the opposite side. I used a lot of 1/4-inch threaded spacers and even countersunk bolt heads.

On the bottom side, four boards were installed including the Power Board @ 1 O'clock, Audio Amp at 6 O'clock, Driver at 9 O'clock and IRF510 at 11 O'clock.

One or two more boards will be installed including the LPF Board and the TR Relay Board.

Trial Mounting of the Cathode Meter

I also did a trial run on creating the hole cut out for the Cathode meter. It was an ugly experience. It may be really difficult to do on a thick aluminum panel. A possibility is to just make a rectangular hole in the Front Panel and then poke the meter through that hole and using this assembly just affix it to the back side of the panel. Rectangular holes are easier than the round and this is already built.

A huge step forward. Them that know can make things go. You are being watched, and something is afoot in Washington likely not good news for most of us. For the majority who pulled the lever, after 9 months in play, is this the outcome you expected?
